Vision for Oklahoma Career and Technical Education (CTE)
Career and Technical Education (CTE) is essential to Oklahoma’s workforce and economic success because it provides students with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive. CTE opens doors for students that otherwise would not be available. If elected as president-elect, I will work to promote and grow the following goals for OkACTE:
• End the Stigma of CTE – Highlight that CTE leads to high-quality, well-paying careers that are just as valuable as those requiring a college degree.
• Expand Access – Increase opportunities, especially in rural areas, to connect students with innovative technology and career pathways.
• Continue to strengthen CTE Programs – Ensure high-quality, industry-aligned training that prepares students for in-demand careers.
• Invest in the Future – Advocate for continued investment in CTE to empower students, support communities, and drive economic prosperity.

As a Region IV fellow and OkACTE member, I am committed to advancing Career and Technical
Education (CTE) in Oklahoma. My experience as OkACTE Fellow and OkACTE Region IV Fellow has
prepared me for this position. My philosophy is simple, OkACTE is a great association to develop its
members in improving professionally and as an educator. My hope is to be a resource and work towards
helping educators improve at their craft.
If elected, I will advocate for resources that empower educators, promote workforce readiness, and
drive economic growth. I will strengthen partnerships with policymakers, industry leaders, and
educational institutions to ensure CTE remains a priority. Expanding advocacy efforts, enhancing
professional development, and growing membership will be key focuses of my leadership.
