Partners in Change Series: Gender Identity & Sexual Orientation

This session in the Partners in Change Lecture series will focus on Gender Identity & Sexual Orientation. Participants will learn how gender identity, sexual orientation, and systems of oppression can impact access to resources. This lecture will be led by Cindy Nguyen, the Director of Social and Economic Justice at the YWCA in Oklahoma City. Cindy joined the YWCA in 2017 and has led their Stand Against Racism campaign and Multicultural Committee. Under her leadership, the department expanded its initiative to include community events and advocacy focused on domestic and sexual violence survivors of color and equity and inclusion trainings. She is an unapologetic advocate for all, with a career devoted to serving marginalized communities.
