2020 Legislative Seminar

Legislative Seminar provides members with advocacy how-to sessions, which help to continue and strengthen support for CareerTech, time to meet with legislators and advocate for CTE programs. This event will inlcude a legislator panel discussion and an update from FKG regarding issues that directly affect the Oklahoma CareerTech system.

This event will provide:

• Advocacy how-to sessions to help you continue to strengthen support for CareerTech
• Dedicated time at the State Capitol to meet with legislators and advocate for your CTE programs

The schedule for this day is as follows: 

Coffee with Legislators | 8:00 am - 9:00 am, 511 A, State Capitol Building

Seminar| 9:30 am - 12:00 pm, Concourse Theatre, Sequoyah Building

*Lunch Shuttle| 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm, Oklahoma AFL-CIO/OkACTE Office

Lobby| 1:30, Oklahoma State Capitol

*OkACTE will provide transportation to our office parking lot for food trucks. Lunch cost is not included. Participants can purchase lunch from food truck vendors and space at the Oklahoma AFL-CIO and OkACTE office will be available to dine.
