Welcome to the legislative process! This year we will take a step back and provide several virtual learning sessions to better prepare and educate you, the OkACTE member, to participate in the legislative process!

 

Our webinar-style, Lunch and Learn series are schedule from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm and are free to attend! Registration is required for all participants. Meeting details are included in registration confirmation.

Lobbying vs. Advocacy

Our first session, Lobbying vs. Advocacy will educate the participant in ways that they can be involved in the legislative process both virtually and in-person. It will also break down the differences in the roles as the OkACTE member and the services provided by OkACTE. Registration ends January 25 at 5pm.

Legislative Panel

Join us for this interactive legislative panel discussion featuring Oklahoma legislative leaders such as Speaker McCall! Moderated by Skye McNiel, we can expect a great conversation! Registration ends February 7 at 5pm.

How A Bill Becomes A Law

This session will break down how to read and understand the process of creating, implementing and reading bills. This session will be lead by Representative Kyle Hilbert. Registration ends February 18 at 5pm.

ACTE Legislative Update

Our final session will feature a Legislative Update from our national affiliate, ACTE. ACTE Senior Director of Public Policy, Alisha Hyslop will provide us with up-to-date information regarding CTE from a national prospective. Registration ends March 4 at 5pm.
